MALL OF GEORGIA INVITES FRIENDS & FAMILIES TO CELEBRATE THE TENTH ANNUAL FABULOUS FOURTH July 4, 2012

Celebrate stars and stripes this Fourth of July with Mall of Georgia’s Tenth Annual Fabulous Fourth event presented by Team Toyota Mall of Georgia in association with BrandsMart USA and the Gwinnett Daily Post! To commemorate a decade of celebrations, the mall is offering a full day of family-friendly activities including children’s rides and inflatables, live music, food and beverage vendors and the largest fireworks display in the county!
The Fabulous Fourth Kids Zone opens for family fun beginning at 2 p.m. and a stellar lineup featuring the Vintage Boogie Band, Norwood and The Woody’s will keep the crowd dancing until the fireworks display begins at dusk. In addition to fun and fireworks, this year’s Independence Day bash will feature Inflatable Fun Rentals and tasty treats including ICESOLICIOUS, Dippin’ Dots, Italian ice, gelato, ice cream, hot dogs and more!
Show off your patriot side by purchasing a small American flag for $1 in support of Simon Youth Foundation or take a spin on the Prize Wagon for a chance to win amazing prizes from BrandsMart USA, Gwinnett Daily Post and Mall of Georgia stores. To enter, sign up at the registration table located near the stage beginning at 2 p.m. Winners must be present and claim the prize within 30 minutes after the drawing or that prize will be added to the next hour’s giveaway. The drawings will take place at the Village Amphitheatre stage at the top of each hour beginning at 3 p.m.
The fireworks display will launch from the Nordstrom Overflow Lot and as such, attendees are not permitted to park or sit in sections of the Nordstrom Parking Lot, which will be clearly marked. For the easiest entrance and exit, it is recommended that families park in the Dillard’s Lot.
As part of its Movies Under the Stars series, local families and friends are invited to stay into the evening for a post-fireworks screening of Sherlock Holmes 2: A Game of Shadows. Settle down and enjoy the film on Mall of Georgia’s impressive 42-foot screen. As always, guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs!
