Join Palama Settlement as we celebrate 100 years of incorporation at Malama Palama: Festival of 100 Voices on Sunday, November 20, from 11am to 5pm on the campus grounds at 810 N. Vineyard Boulevard!

Palama Settlement, one of the few Settlement houses left in the United States, will open its doors to the public for a full day of free family fun and entertainment. Bring your family and friends and celebrate 100 years of social service to the Kalihi-Palama neighborhood.

Live entertainment includes music performances by EMKE, The Kevin Jones Experience, V. Mary, Polynesian cultural dance provided by neighborhood youth groups and special appearances by the Palama Settlement Senior Dance Program. Special thanks goes to Honolulu Community College's Music & Entertainment Learning Experience (MELE) degree program for providing technical expertise for the day's entertainment.

Check out special demonstrations by Farrington High School’s national-award winning ROTC drill teams and learn the ins-and-outs of water polo with the Farrington Lady Gov’s Water Polo team at the pool, or visit the McKinley High School's Robotics team in the gym. Keiki activities include a visit with local firemen and their fire truck, free time in the bounce houses, and a chance to learn about ocean stewardship on the Wikoliana School Boat.

• Special appearance and reading by One Cup Rice author, Hazel Ho
• Free Health Screenings provided by the Farrington Health Academy
• Hourly Tours of Palama Settlement’s facilities, including the Game Room, Learning Center, Computer and Technology Center, the Archives, and a special stop in the Community Library, where you can choose a free book to take home.
• Stand Up Paddling demonstrations in the pool – bring your swimsuit for open swim!
• Tasty bites provided by local food trucks
• Story Time with Wally Amos in the Game Room
• An afternoon performance by world renown Latko, the Magician
• Much more!

In addition, the festival will host a unique opportunity to purchase high and low end goods at deeply discounted prices. For a $5 admission fee, you can shop in the Malama Palama Store and peruse fashionable apparel, exclusive jewelry sets, gift certificates to your favorite restaurants and hotels, and more. Early store entrants will be given a loaf of Portuguese bread, taro rolls or a box of Honolulu Cookie Company cookies, while supplies last. Pre-sale tickets for the Malama Palama Store are available by calling 848-2502.

Or visit the Malama Palama Bake Sale for tasty home baked goodies, handmade zong (rice dumplings), and fresh fruits and vegetables. Don’t forget to pick up a limited edition Malama Palama Centennial Shirt as a souvenir to celebrate 100 years!

Free parking is available behind the Palama Settlement Gymnasium and at Likelike Elementary School. The celebration kicks off just before 11am with a lion dance and special blessing.
