MAKING YOUR NEXT CAREER MOVE—Don’t Give Up Your Day Job Without a Plan, a one-day career transition workshop, will be conducted by consultant Judy Estrin of Partners In Enterprise, Inc. on Saturday, January 27. The workshop, presented by the Synagogue for the Performing Arts, will be devoted to developing the skills necessary for making a move from one company to the next.
Estrin established Partners In Enterprise, Inc. in 1997, a company dedicated to helping individuals and organizations toward improved work performance through organization development consulting, performance enhancement and pragmatic management skills training programs. Since that time, she has helped thousands of people gain the confidence they need to make a move to a new company.
Participants in this one-day course will complete a self assessment to identify key skills and competencies, learn to complete a winning resume and interview, outline a timeline for managing their job search using project management techniques and know what to expect in an interview and how to convert interviews to job offers.
In her work as a career transition consultant over the last 20 years, Estrin has managed career resource centers for many corporate clients, among them Lockheed, Bank of America, Shell Oil, Transamerica and ARCO. A dynamic and engaging presenter, she has facilitated hundreds of career transition workshops and has assisted thousands of individuals with career transition as well as advising organizations on how to retain the right people. She received her BA from California State University, Northridge and her MA in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
