With more than 44 million members in over 200 countries and territories around the world, LinkedIn is the place to be for professional electronic networking. A new member joins LinkedIn approximately every second. Can you afford not to be on LinkedIn? This workshop will explore LinkedIn basics, such as:

• Creating an account Developing a LinkedIn profile
• Making Connections and building your network
• Finding and joining groups
• Finding jobs on LinkedIn
• Increasing your visibility
• Live demonstration will be projected. If you have a laptop, feel free to bring it for a hands-on experience!

Etta Lappen Davis, founder and principal of Etsky Consulting, has more than 30 years experience as a trainer and conference presenter. As a consultant to non-profit organizations navigating the economic downturn, Etta helps organizations to identify cost-effective management options. Etta is a member of the WCMC Steering Committee and a volunteer facilitator of a Success Team for people seeking employment or career change.

The Economic Crisis Workshop Series is eight-part workshop series designed to provide Central Massachusetts job seekers and business owners with critical coping and skill building tools within today’s challenging economic climate. The series is a collaborative program between Gesher (Congregation B'nai Shalom, Westborough), WCMC (Worcester Central Mass Connections) and JFS Worcester. Funding for this program made possible through a grant from the JFCM (Jewish Federation of Central Massachusetts).
