Hypertufa or "trough" containers are becoming increasingly popular because of their rustic natural look and weather resistance. In this 3-hour class, instructor Sylvia Elwyn will demonstrate how to make these versatile containers, and each participant will make one to take home. Elwyn, recent award winner of "Fine Gardening" magazine's national container contest, gives ideas on plant selection and design for these interesting containers. Participants should bring a trowel and goggles, and wear clothing appropriate for gardening. Call 665-2492 x 317 to reach the Registrar's desk. Please note that this phone may not be manned when you call, but messages will be returned within one business day.
