The Connecticut Historical Society will open a new, long-term exhibition called 'Making Connecticut' in May 2011, but the exhibition is available as a work-in-progress starting December 11, 2010. Feel free to visit and see the exhibition as it is created, and mark your calendars for an official opening on May 25, 2011. The exhibition occupies 4,000 square feet, and is divided into nine colorful sections. It presents a broad sweep of Connecticut history using authentic costumes, historic images, objects, documents, and hands-on interactives. Making Connecticut is the story of all the people of Connecticut from the 16th century through today.
