“Making a Racquet” CD Launch Party To Benefit The Milagro Center December 19, 2008

The Delray Beach International Tennis Championships (ITC) announced today it’s “Making A Racquet” CD launch party presented by Beck’s Beer will be Friday, December 19 at 8 pm at City Limits in Delray Beach.

Featured performers for the evening include The Resolvers, Jacob Jeffries Band, Coexist Scientist and DJ Crunchtime all winners of the 2008 “Making a Racquet” music search. Their inspired original recordings are now featured on the first-ever Making a Racquet presented by Beck’s—Official 2008 Delray Beach ITC Soundtrack. The CD’s will be available for the first time that evening at City Limits, followed by local distribution with proceeds benefiting Delray Beach’s Milagro Center.

“Join us in celebrating this eagerly awaited musical masterpiece while feasting on live performances by four of Palm Beach County’s most talented performers - all for charity, what a way to kick-off the holidays,” said John Butler, ITC Executive Director. “These four acts wowed crowds on the Beck’s Main Stage at the ITC last February and were featured during live national and international television coverage of the Delray Beach ITC that reached all parts of the US, Europe, Asia and furthest reaches of the globe.”

Admission for CD Launch party is free for those 21 and older, courtesy of Beck’s Beer. The CD will be on sale that evening for only $5 and after December 19 at various locations throughout Delray Beach for $7 with proceeds benefiting The Milagro Center, a unique arts-integrated educational and cultural arts facility which serves as a catalyst for community collaboration, individual transformation and social change by providing enriched learning opportunities. The Center provides a superior arts education after school program to the children of Palm Beach County’s most disadvantaged populations.
