Prosthetics Outreach Foundation (POF) is hosting their 2nd Annual Make Strides Walkathon on Saturday, September 24th at Marymoor Park in Redmond, WA. The Walkathon is a chance for supporters of POF to get together and have fun outdoors with family and friends!
The walk is up to a mile or two it all depends on the walker. This is their walk and they can make it is long or as short as they want. This year POF plans on having over 200 participants. Creating a team, or being an individual participant in the Walkathon is a great opportunity to get to know new people, bond with co-workers, and spend a fun filled Saturday! There will be activities for children, entertainment, yoga and Caring Clowns International will be present.
Everything raised during the Walkathon will support POF’s programs. POF sponsors the prosthetic care of amputees with custom-made prostheses, fund the surgical correction of severe limb deformities for children and adults, and avoid lifelong disability for young children with clubfoot deformity through casting and bracing.
