An international architectural design competition was held earlier this year to solicit ideas for housing an arts residency program on a 35 acre site in Oak Cliff near the original La Reunion site. 68 entries from 19 countries
were received and First Place went to Bang Dang of Dallas. The Panel will discuss the history of La Reunion—both the 1855 original and the current arts-related incarnation—as well as the details of the competition whose jury included Rick Lowe of Project Row Houses in Houston, Dr. Rick Brettell, Louise Harpman, Associate Dean at UT Austin School of Architecture, Max Levy, FAIA and Mark Gunderson, AIA.
