"Maize Valley Winery & Market is a family owned business that renovated a 150 yr old barn and turned it into a market. We have a full service deli, bakery and fresh produce. Some of the produce we are known for is our sweet corn, peppers and tomatoes. In 2005 we added a winery into the mix using our own fruit to make wine. Maize Valley currently has around 10 acres of grapes. Starting in late September, we open our 8 acre corn maze, start wagon rides, pumpkin picking, and school tours. We also have the ever popular ""pumpkin cannon"" that shoots over half a mile! Come visit Maize Valley where there is something for the whole family! May 1 - October 31 Monday - Wednesday 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.Thursday - 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Friday & Saturday 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.Sunday - 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - no Sunday Wine Sales - that means no tasting either. The more generous a definition of "metro" you use, the better this site works. As far as I'm concerned, Lawrence still falls under the umbrella of KC. More functionality will be gained by combining the two areas, than by delineating them.
