Magnolia Arts Center - Independent Film Series "Death, Taxes...and Chocolate" September 24, 2009

A dark (chocolate) comedy from North Carolina! Death, Taxes…and Chocolate!” is the story of six friends who come up with a plan to avoid the pitfalls of aging and late-life care. The six principal characters include: an engineer who becomes the Mayor of New Bern, a Turkey Farmer, a Natural Medicine Doctor, a Teacher, a Boat Captain and a retired CIA Agent who now sells insurance. The film’s original music and lyrics are by New Bern artists Andrea and Phil Owens, Andrea Levinson Stern, Chantal Hollatsheck and Margaret Rose. The film was directed and produced by Bud Dowdey of Sheffield Entertainment.
