'The Phantom Tollbooth' by Susan Nanus, based on the book by Norton Juster, is the whimsical story of Milo, a child who is totally bored with learning and life until he sets upon a journey through the Phantom Tollbooth. From this fantastical adventure through the Land of Wisdom, Milo learns many things, not the least of which is that he must rescue the Princesses Sweet Rhyme and Pure Reason from the Land of Ignorance. Filled with ingenious word-play and characters, the knowledge and skills Milo picks up on his trek not only help him to save the Princesses, but they change his attitude towards learning which will never be the same again!
