Las Cruces, NM – The popular Dona Ana Arts Council program, “Magic Carpet Story Time,” is held at the Branigan Cultural Center. Story Time is held weekly on Saturdays from 11:30 to Noon.
A book is selected each week and is read to children who sit on a “magic carpet” that takes them to many different places. After the reading, a drawing is held and the book is given to the winner. Coupons for a free book from COAS Bookstore are also distributed. The program is hosted by Dave Edwards.
“We are pleased to partner with DAAC and COAS Books to bring this program to the Cultural Center,” stated Garland Courts, BCC manager. “Story Time is an engaging program and enjoyed immensely by the children who attend.”
The Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main Street, is located at the north end of the Downtown Mall in Las Cruces. The exhibits and events are free and open to the public. New gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, contact the Branigan Cultural Center at (575) 541-2154 or visit the Center’s web site at las-cruces.org/museums.
