Mafia Made Winter 2006: A trunk show featuring the San Francisco Craft Mafia November 18, 2006

The San Francisco Craft Mafia (SFCM) – a killer collective of Bay Area crafters and do-it-yourself artists – has teamed up with Craft Gym to host Mafia Made Winter 2006. The show will feature a juried line-up of affordable, handmade goods created by SFCM members.

SFCM’s Director Jamie Chan explains, “Mafia Made Winter 2006 will feature items from over twenty SFCM members. This event is free and open to the public. You’ll find an excellent selection of handmade goods ranging from one-of-a-kind art, to limited edition zines, reconstructed apparel, vegan body products, jewelry, organic pet products and more. Join us in celebrating handmade goods and the creative people who make them.”

SFCM member and Craft Gym co-founder Jane Logan adds, “We are excited to be hosting this event so that people can see, touch, and buy unique gifts for the holidays. Craft Gym’s stated purpose is to foster craft making and the crafter through community and convenience, so we are delighted to be working with the SFCM and supporting the Bay Area’s DIY community.”

For those unable to attend the event, Craft Gym’s consignment gallery will continue to feature items made by SFCM members from November 19 through December 31, 2006.
