Universally acclaimed as the world’s greatest tabla maestro, and often called the best percussionist on the planet, Zakir Hussain is a national treasure of India and a world ambassador for the elegance, exuberance and complexity of Indian music. Joined now by a team of maestros including renowned artist Pandit Shivkumar Sharma on the santoor (a sort of hammered dulcimer from Kashmir), Hussain will bring all the diversity and splendor of his heritage to the Bomhard Theater stage.
