The University of Salford is holding an event with the prestigious Madrid Film School, where film makers can find out how to distribute their short films to major European film festivals - including Cannes, Berlin and Clermont-Ferrand.
The event will invite film makers to submit their work for a 'Best of British' compilation which in-house experts Candella Films will promote to over 400 leading European festivals. There will also be the opportunity to view some of the most successful films from last year.
Last year's reel featured After Tomorrow which was nominated for the Palm D'Or at Cannes as well as prize winners at Berlin and Clermont-Ferrand. In all, 27 films from the Salford partnership with Candella have won cash prizes of up to £10,000 across Europe, along with exposure to the leading names in world cinema.
