"Macrocosm" ft. Casey Weldon and Edith Lebeau (Opening Reception) February 12, 2011

"Macrocosm", featuring Artworks by Casey Weldon and Edith Lebeau. Distinction Gallery continues its tradition of exhibiting the innovative artworks by exceptionally talented artists to the Southern California region, with an exciting new show entitled "Macrocosm" featuring the art of Casey Weldon and Edith Lebeau. These two extraordinary artists will display inspired works that provoke whimsical imagination and surreal vision, captivating the viewer into their fanciful realm. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 6-10pm with Live Music, complimentary Stone Brewery Beer and Wiens Family Cellars Wine for guests 21 years of age or older. Distinction Gallery is a 7000 square foot building which houses the front gallery: which changes monthly, "The Alley," featuring new and previous works from over 75 artists, ArtHatch, a non-profit focusing on work from teenage artists from the San Diego community, 14 artist studios, ranging in size from 150 to 800 square feet, featuring the work of over 28 local artists, and "The Lounge", containing 8 walls featuring local artists. The front gallery features contemporary and cutting edge art work with a soft focus on Urban Surrealism. Distinction exhibits work by emerging and internationally acclaimed artists. A variety of art books, prints, and collectors dolls are now available for purchase.
