Friends and family of the four teenagers who lost their lives in a tragic car accident in Kerrville on April 12 will host a benefit show for the community May 15 at the Kendall County Fairgrounds from 4 to 10 p.m. There will be many bands including Westbound Departure from Austin TX, Giant Panda from San Antonio, and Boerne's own Rachel Hubbard. Dance performances will include The Cadence Cloggers of San Antonio, TX and Expressive Outlet Dance Troupe. All proceeds from the benefit will go to the families.
Named M.M.R.K. in remembrance of Marcus and Micah Cunningham, Robert Spikes, and Kasey Kaufman, the show is to raise money to help the families pay for the funeral and medical expenses. Spikes and Kaufman donated a total of 12 organs.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased by contacting mmrkrip(at)yahoo.com through Thursday May 13th. If you are unable to attend the benefit show, donations can be made directly on the Web site www.cunninghamskatepark.viviti.com. This will assist with event and help the families. This web site also lists various banks around town that have accounts set up for the families.
