Lynn Avery: the Sacred Forest April 20, 2010

Inspired by a concern for the environment, and motivated by mounting evidence that trees around the world are increasingly at risk, Lynn Avery has created a series of forceful, large-scale paintings that speak both to trees' immense intensity and their uncertain future. 'The Sacred Forest' is Avery's way of promoting public awareness of concerns for the future of our natural world.
