Lyle Fitzgerald: Memories in Wood August 19, 2009

Lyle Fitzgerald is an 82-year-old former middle school teacher from Ames, Iowa. He is a self taught artist who, despite the 50% loss of use of his right hand, began exploring layered three-dimensional wood art eight years ago. The wonderfully colorful compositions have an illustrative feel and reflect a simpler time.
