The San Francisco Bay Area and San Francisco particularly has always been known for its contribution in the performing arts. The great Impresario, the late Bill Graham can not be mentioned in the same breath without mentioning such venues as: Fillmore West, The Avalon, Carousel Ballroom, The Family Dog, The Keystone Corner, The Palace of Fine Arts, and many others that became the staging grounds for young and developing talents leading to national and in some cases international stardom. Can we go back to the “Summer of Love”, celebrating its 40th year anniversary just last year, such is the case for one of the first groups signed by Bill Graham Enterprises… coincidentally celebrating their 40th anniversary….Lydia Pense & Cold Blood.
There is a resurging interest in the music from the era of the sixties and seventies, particularly as it pertains to San Francisco, where it all began. That in mind, on July 11, 2009 Lydia & Cold Blood will be headlining live at J La Chic Theatre 39. Lydia Pense & Cold Blood will perform two sets starting 8:30-9:30pm & then 10:00-11:00pm.
