Luther College Nordic Choir Concert January 16, 2011

The performance, by the 64-member Nordic Choir and sponsored by Faith Lutheran's Soli deo Musica fine arts program, is conducted Allen Hightower, the director of choral activities and professor of music at Luther. A free-will offering will be taken.
The program has works for choir and organ featuring Gregory Peterson, Luther organ professor. Among them are "Festival Te Deum" by Benjamin Britten, "Like as the Hart Desireth the Waterbrooks" by Herbert Howells and "Lass dich nur nichts nicht dauren" by Johannes Brahms. Other works planned include folk songs and spirituals. Luther voice faculty members Karen Kanakis, soprano and Jacob Lassetter, baritone are featured soloists.
