The Lung Cancer Research Foundation will host a Public Symposium to kick-off Lung Cancer Awareness Month. This educational panel discussion will outline the most current knowledge and will discuss the latest developments in lung cancer research from doctors Marc Ladayni, M.D, Director, Laboratory of Diagnostic Molecular Pathology, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center; Mark Socinski, MD, Director, Multidisciplinary Thoracic Oncology Program, UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Center; and Julia Rowland, PhD, Director, Office of Cancer Survivorship, National Cancer Institute. Immediately following the panel discussion, the floor will open for a public Q&A with the doctors. Over 150 guests are expected to attend including lung cancer researchers, patients, survivors, caregivers, social workers, philanthropists, and members of the press.
