Lunch and Learn with The Haven May 20, 2009

Many thanks to all of you for your dedication in walking the Haven dogs. Our adoption results clearly indicate the success of the program. A meeting of the volunteers who help walk the Haven dogs has been scheduled for May 20, from 11:45am to 4pm at Thomas Hospital Wellness Center. The purpose of the meeting is to view the new “Dog Whisperer” DVDs that the Haven has acquired. Mike Graham, our Executive Director, feels very strongly that these DVDs will greatly help you in walking the Haven dogs, as well as give you very positive pointers on how you can handle the dogs and get in a little training as well. For those who are not familiar with the “Dog Whisperer”, a.k.a Cesar Millan, “he is highly respected for his unique insight into dog psychology and shows us how we can “lead” our dogs to behave and obey through our own confident energy, body language and positive reinforcement”.
