Gateway Community Church will host the Lunar Rendezvous Festival’s Sunset Service on Sunday, July 19, at 7 p.m. Gateway Community Church is located at 760 Clear Lake Blvd, between Highway 3 and I-45.
The Sunset Service, “God’s Greatest Jewels”, kicks off a week of Lunar Rendezvous Festival events that foster community spirit while raising funds that benefit student scholarships and organizations in the Bay Area. The non-denominational service will honor the 2009 Lunar Rendezvous Court and will feature the Gateway’s Restoration Board and an encouraging message by Gateway’s Senior Pastor, Randy Hageman.

The Lunar Rendezvous Festival is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that preserves both the historical lore and the many great accomplishments in the space sciences made by residents of the Clear Lake/Bay Area. The Festival organization benefits the Bay Area Museum, college scholarships, area libraries, cultural arts groups, Bay Area Turning Point, Interfaith Caring Ministries as well as many other non-profit groups.
