Luminous Blackness - Studies N Black Closing Event October 26, 2008

Honoring tricksters, shape shifters, and fun seekers, this performative experience invites the audience to witness the final installation of black male/female with____exhibited with images of D UNDERBELLY photographer Geoff Albores, cameo performances by Monstah Black and Chicago artists JSun Howard and Theaster Gates, an excerpt of documentary Still Black: A Portrait of Black Transmen,, and haunting electronic tunes by DJ Daniel Givens. Audiences are encouraged to dress up as beguiling Halloween “black” or “supafly” characters. Reception included.
