More about the venue:
Lulubell Toy Bodega - Designer Toy Store & Art Gallery is located at the SW corner of 6th Street & 6th Avenue, just 2 blocks West of Plush on 4th Avenue, in the heart of the Downtown Historic Warehouse Arts District.
More about the artists:
Jesse Vasquez, Patrick Foley, and "S. Scousin" will be
showing various kinds of art, usually painted on wood,
cardboard and other trash found in dumpsters, mostly
using stolen or free art supplies.
"People often ask me what my medium is and I tell them
it's pretty much whatever I can get my hands on. We
are all broke so we just do what we can with what we
have," Vasquez said.
Graffiti will be painted on the walls and various
other elements that give the gallery itself a
street-like atmosphere. The art ranges from nitty
gritty photographs of perverse voyeuristic reality to
silk-screens of parodied Masonic conspiracy theories
and of course, paintings done by the bastard children
of fine art. The Ugly Kids
