San Francisco, August 19, 2009 – Violinist, pianist and composer, Luca Ciarla will perform at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura during a promotional tour for his new CD “The Fiddler in the Loop.”
Luca Ciarla finds his musical roots in contemporary jazz, as well as classical and world music. He studied jazz with David Baker at Indiana University, and received a doctorate from the University of Arizona, where he taught violin and improvisation for a few years. Winner of several competitions in Italy and abroad, Luca Ciarla played and recorded with such classical, jazz, world and rock musicians as Daniele Sepe, Joshua Bell, Danilo Rea, Marina Rei, among others.
