The 27th annual Loyola Marymount University Wine Classic, which has earned a reputation among California vintners as the best consumer-tasting event in the state, will be held Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008. The cost of the event is $90 per person and $50 is tax deductible.
The Wine Classic features 46 of California’s premium wineries, with more than 150 wines available for tasting. Winemakers and proprietors from participating cellars will be onsite to share their knowledge and experience. Some wineries include Cottonwood, Foxen, Patz Hall and White Rock.
An exclusive selection of rare vintages and products will be offered in a silent auction during the event.
The annual event, under the direction of alumnus Arthur Carroll, Jr. (’61), benefits the Alfred J. Kilp, S.J., (’30) and the Raymunde McKay, RSHM, student scholarships, which are awarded to children and grandchildren of alumni.
