Most of us have well-loved gardens and may be faced with mandated lower water use this summer. The middle of our wet season is the best time to plan for the dry season that will begin in a few months. Ed Holm will discuss modification of existing landscapes, irrigation adjustment, mulches, plant physiology, soil improvements, fertilization, pruning, the use of anti-transpirants, and more in his talk.
Ed Holm has years of real, hands-on gardening experience in addition to 35 years teaching horticulture and writing articles for Pacific Horticulture and other publications. He is currently associated with Wegman's Nursery in Redwood City. In addition, Ed does home consultations on landscape design, plant diseases, pruning, and general landscape care.
Fee: $25 members, $35 non-members.
