Low Down Dirty Blues October 19, 2009

This is a special public workshop performance of 'Low Down Dirty Blues' by Randal Myler and Dan Wheetman. Commissioned by Northlight Theatre, the production will make its world premiere in May 2010 in Chicago. This one-night only performance has been offered to Cherry Lane by Northlight Theatre Artistic Director B.J. Jones as a special fundraiser to support Cherry Lane's programming. Featuring the very best of the style made (in)famous by the likes of Mae West, Muddy Waters, Ma Rainey, Sophie Tucker, Howlin' Wolf, Pearl Bailey and many others, 'Low Down Dirty Blues' is a look at life and sex in all its fascinating and painful expressions, and a rousing, raucous musical event.
