LoveFest is a benefit concert I'm producing, featuring a diverse group of performers coming together to house a single homeless woman and her daughter.
This is made possible through 1-by-1, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a stable housing and living environment for homeless or marginally- housed families with children in San Francisco.
At this event, you will be helping "Tisha" and her 3-year-old daughter "Desiree." Tisha has a solid part-time job -- which she is hoping will turn into a full-time position -- but for now, her low wages and bad credit leave her homeless. Every night, she calls around to friends and family members to see whose couch she and her daughter can sleep on.
If LoveFest sells out, we will be able to provide housing for Tisha and Desiree for an entire year.
Filling the hall means 200 people, on a Sunday night, the day after Valentine's Day. Not a simple task. Here's how you can help:
