Louisville Geek Dinner is different from many other networking events. There is no agenda, no official announcements, and very little structure. It is quite simply just an assembly of similar minded people. At past geek dinners, some people have chosen to roam around and talk to as many people as possible, others prefer to just interact in a small group. Louisville Geek Dinner is what you make it. Relax, and have a good time!
Because the event focuses on 'those who love technology', you can expect to find all types of people. Not everyone will have the same interests as you. If you find yourself getting bored, the best advice is to move-on and look for others.
For example, here are some of the topics that I may find myself discussing: web 2.0, new media/blogs, photography, travel, anything apple, security, linux, LAMP, php, ruby on rails, networking, venture capital, startups, entrepreneurship, coding, rss, techcrunch, read/write web, lifehacking, social bookmarking, etc.
Your list may be completely different. That's perfectly fine and what makes LGD unique. The purpose of Louisville Geek Dinner is to find others with similar interests. Geek is a very broad term.
