Louisville Christian Writers - Monthly Meeting August 9, 2008

Our group of Christians who write meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month. We meet from 5pm to 6pm for dinner (on your own) and fellowship, and the meeting begins at 6pm. Our meetings generally include some type of writing instruction, be it in the form of a speaker or a writing exercise, and a time for critiques. Membership is open to all Christians who write, regardless of each writer's level of expertise, experience, or choice of genre.

For our August meeting, we will be learning about, and practicing, the art of poetry. We will also initiate a challenge for all attendees to spend the next month writing some type of poetry every day. There will be prizes at the September meeting for all who completed the task. The first poem for the month can be completed during the meeting.
