Louisiana Steam Train Festival October 18, 2009

The Louisiana Steam Train Association (LASTA) is proud to present its fourth annual Steam Train Festival behind the Zoo on the Riverview at Audubon Park. This year's festival will feature Bluegrass Bands such as The Porch Rockers, The Petty Bones, The Sweet Olive String Band, The Fabulous Bagasse Boys, Hazel and the Delta Ramblers, Chrstian Serpas and Ghostown, Sweet Tea Bluegrass, and the Highground Drifters. Also featured will be public jam sessions known as "Parkin Lot Pickin" For the kids there will be a rubber tired train ride, inflatables, a working model railroad display in an open-air gondola, and Audubon Park's Mobile Petting Zoo. LASTA's red caboose the "Ray Duplechain" will be open at the rear of the train for children to play conductor.
