The Louisa County Resource Council will dedicate its headquarters with a gala event featuring free food, live music, children activities and much more. The LCRC building-home to the Community Cupboard, Emergency Food Bank, Medical Outreach Services and Adult Community Education-will be named for the late Rev. Jon von Hemert, who founded the not-for-profit organization in 1994. A brief dedication ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. This event, spanning from 1-3 p.m., is free and all are invited to attend. The Louisa County Resource Council is located at 147 Resource Lane between the towns of Louisa and Mineral. For more information, contact Donna Isom, LCRC executive director, at 540 967 3577.
