Loudon Wainwright III on Charlie Poole August 1, 2009

Singer-songwriter Loudon Wainwright III has recorded a double CD, High, Wide & Lonesome: The Charlie Poole Project', examining the life, themes, and repertoire of country music pioneer Charlie Poole. Wainwright, accompanied by David Mansfield and Chaim Tannenbaum, will perform songs from the new CD, due August 18, and talk about Poole and how the project came about. A signing follows in the Museum store.
