Louder Than Words Dancetheatre presents reVerb, an evening of modern dance and sound with choreography by Chris Harris and the live music and sound improvisation of Jesse Manno. This three-act show features LTW’s ongoing exploration of dance in unusual spaces viewed from different perspectives. Returning to the Courtyard Theatre for a second year, LTW’s performance explores facets of dance, sound and light. Each act brings different elements of sound to challenge and inspire the performers; from live improvisation to prerecorded music and beautiful combinations of the two. Each show concludes with an informal conversation with the audience and the company.

reVerb opens on June 8 at the Eugenia Rawls Courtyard Theatre at the King Center on the Auraria Campus (855 Lawrence Way, Denver) and performs on Friday and Saturday, for two weekends only, through June 16. Performance time is 8:00 p.m. Seating is limited. Tickets are $22 Adults and $18 Students & Seniors. Chris Harris, Artistic Director and Choreographer, was born in Denver and holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Colorado and a second degree in Architecture. She is currently an Artist in Residence at the Denver School of the Arts; and on the faculty of Dance Kaleidoscope and A Living Arts Centre. She has choreographed for local theaters; been a guest lecturer at The Arts Institute of Colorado and CSU; and is a co-director of the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop, the Assistant Artistic Director of Interweave Dancetheatre and the Artistic Director/Choreographer Colorado Youth Dance Theatre in Denver.

Jesse Manno is a composer, producer, improviser, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist based in Boulder, CO, where he is Music Director of the University of Colorado Dance Department. His work with numerous Theatre and Dance companies has been presented all over the U.S. and in several European and Asian countries, with support from Meet the Composer Inc., PBS, and the National Endowment for the Arts, among many others. ww.jessemanno.com
