Puccini's 'Il Trittico' is a set of three one-act operas: In 'Il Tabarro' passion, infidelity and jealousy are resolved through an act of murder, In 'Suor Angelica' a noblewoman banished to a convent has a child. When she learns of his death, she kills herself in hopes of meeting him in Heaven, and In 'Gianni Schicchi' a wealthy man is dying and his relatives' greed for his money is thwarted by a lawyer who also unites the dying man's daughter and the man she loves.
