Los Angeles, CA (September 17th, 2012) – Join music industry professionals from around the world for the 22nd Los Angeles Music Awards Voting Party (www.lamusicawards.net) at the world famous Whisky A-Go-Go in West Hollywood on September 27th at 6.30pm.



The LA Music Awards Voting Party will present an incredible150 nominations to independent music artists of various genres, and during the show their 30 second sound bites will be played for the crowd. This year’s nominees include Monte Pittman (Madonna’s long-time guitarist) Cheating Daylight (Teenage Band of Brothers), Justine Dorsey (ABC’s ‘Brothers and Sisters’) along with her sister Kerris Dorsey (Brad Pitt’s daughter in ‘Moneyball’), Britt Flatmo (JJ Abrams ‘Super 8’), Aaron Landon (Disney’s ‘Crash and Bernstein’), Sean Ward (Country Artist) and Sandbox (Alternative Rock) .



During the event there will be nine, local and national, special live performances on stage including the original members of the legendary Los Angeles hard rock band Armored Saint Phil and Gonzo Sandoval, performing with 5 time Los Angeles Music Award nominee Black Raven.

The 22nd Annual Los Angeles Music Awards is being held on November 15th, 2012 at The Avalon in Hollywood. Last year’s awards show hosted close to 1,200 guests along with some big name celebrity recipients. The event was a huge success. This year the program will feature the presentation of 30 awards to independent artists and bands that were previously voted on by fans and an industry panel at the Whisky A Go-Go as part of the Los Angeles Music Awards annual voting event. These will be presented at the end of the night on stage inside the venue. There will also be an additional 30 Producers Choice Awards presented on the red carpet to various recipients from the independent music community. All recipients have the chance to do a photo opportunity holding their award.
