Long Play by Nuno Gomes July 30, 2012

The public is invited to the free opening reception on Third Friday, August 17th, from 5-7 PM.

DAC’s galleries are open during building hours, 9 AM – 9 PM Monday – Saturday, 1 PM – 6 PM Sunday.

Nuno Gomes’ Long Play is a series of multimedia works which reconfigure the LP. Gomes cuts apart old LP covers, fitting the pieces together to create art that is playful, funky, and fun. This exhibit is part of the Durham Arts Council’s year-round exhibition program. The Ella Fountain Pratt Legacy Gallery features alumni artists of the Emerging Artists Grant Program. Nuno Gomes received an Emerging Artist grant in 2012.
