Long Island Entrepreneurs Meetup January 13, 2009

January 13th is the next meeting. Our agenda is to start with a round of introductions. A RAFFLE with little gifts is always included. One of the members will hold a workshop. At the end of the meeting, after the workshop, you will have plenty of time to mingle and network amongst each other. So, don't run out after the last speaker has told his/her story?

David Gussin of 516ADS.com will present the WORKSHOP in January. He will talk about advertising and give us some advertising tips.

Any member who feels he/she has something to teach us, an interesting subject to talk about or a business we should know more about, feel free to email me. These workshops are NOT sales talks. I expect you to provide general information on a subject that is interesting to the group and on which you are an expert. I will give you 15 minutes to educate us.

What should you bring? First and foremost, prepare a 30 to 60 second commercial about you and your business. The intention to have fun and meet good people. And Business cards, lots of them (at least 50!!).

Remember that it is even more important now to prepare your 30 to 60 second commercial, because everyone has the chance to have a PodCast made by Bruce Chamoff. Come to the next meeting, meet Bruce and become the next PodCast star. Can you imagine how many people you can reach by putting your video Podcast on You Tube?? Or how much more personal your website will be with a video intro by you posted on the front page?

We handed out the BLUE tickets (besides the regular red tickets for the monthly raffle) for A SPECIAL PRIZE, to be raffled off every 3 or 4 months. The more you attend, the more tickets you collect, the more chance to win a DINNER CERTIFICATE for $25 for a restaurant of your choice. Do not lose these BLUE tickets and of course you will have to be present at the drawing to win ;-)

If you want to OFFER A RAFFLE PRIZE for the monthly drawing, you will have your name and your website listed on all 3 main MEETUP group web pages for a whole month. You can donate a product, but also a service or a discount on your service. This is EXPOSURE to 450+ members of the 3 groups for you and your business.
