Participation is open to everyone, whether a beginner or experienced, about all aspects of Lua, whether for scripting, games, mobile, web, embedded or other uses, the whole range of uses. If you would like to give a talk, sponsor the group, or suggest a topic, please mail me at justin@londonlua.org, or use the LondonLua wiki page. Talks should be about technical subjects, around the use of Lua, and will all be available on video afterwards.

James Hurst (http://twitter.com/pintsized) introduces OpenResty – offering Lua programming for the Nginx web server. This provides a powerful and very high performance web programming environment, with non-blocking i/o central to the design. Originally developed to power the largest e-commerce site in China, it has recently started to be more widely adopted.
James Hurst is a musician, recording engineer, and record label owner based in London. He works part time as Head of Technology for Squiz UK, specialising in web content management and delivery.
