After the success of last month's Mini iA we have organised another evening for the group to coincide with UX London. The evening will be at the Sense Loft in Soho and will take on a more relaxed approach with more of a workshop approach to presentation:
Presenters for the evening:
Leisa Reichelt - D7UX: some artifacts (including lots of video) from the Drupal7 UX project. See how we've tried to engage our 200,000 or so clients in an open source way, and what they've given us to work with through their participation.
Angel Brown - Actor Network Theory (ANT) is part methodology and part conceptual framework and is often used to frame qualitative studies to understand the social and material factors behind the success or failure of new technologies.
Luke Perman - AXLIB Axure tips, techniques and tools for busy UX professionals
Jason Mesut - Ego vs. empathy - the power of a bit of self-indulgence in creating innovative designs balanced against UCD and research.
David Jarvis - Top 5 conversion tips for travel sites
Ian Fenn - Designing for call centres
We are also encouraging attendees to bring along any work, ideas, plans, concepts that they would like to discuss either amongst themselves, in small groups or to the whole event.
We also hope to have various presentations, work, ideas available on laptops available for discussion.
Guests for the evening will include a number of speakers from UX London including various people from Clearleft and Jared Spool.
