Local Musicians - Homegrown Talent: A Day of Rockin' On February 16, 2008

In celebration of the in-store appearance/reading later this evening by Dan Kennedy, author of Rock On, the funniest, wittiest take-down of the corporate music monster from the inside out, Wordsmiths Books is presenting an entire day of fantastic local music and performance (yeah, take THAT big media!). Appearing throughout the day will be: Wayne Fishell Experiment, Amy Lashley, Julia Carroll, Sean Kagalis, Sealions, and Ronnda Cadle. At 2 p.m., we'll break from the music for a little while for Poetry Atlanta Presents. The music continues until 7:30 p.m. when Dan Kennedy reads from and signs Rock On. And then bestselling author David L. Robbins, fresh from last night's signing of his book, The Betrayal Game, brings it all back home with a set of smoldering blues.
