Local Chefs Face Off At Longwood At Oakmont’s “cooking From The Garden” Competition June 27, 2012

On Tuesday, June, 27, 2012, local chefs from Cura and Six Penn will compete for the best Summer dish during a “Cooking from the Garden” event hosted by Longwood at Oakmont, Presbyterian SeniorCare Continuing Care Retirement Community in Plum.

During the event, attendees will have an opportunity to interact with the chefs and judge each dish prepared for the competition. The chefs will be critiqued in the following categories: entertainment, best overall, presentation and most importantly, taste. All of the recipes prepared during the event will be available for attendees to take home and recreate. Private tours of Longwood at Oakmont will also be available.

Prizes will be distributed to the participating chefs. Also, a “Surf and Turf” dinner for four prepared by Longwood at Oakmont’s Executive Chef will be raffled off during the event.
