In celebration of Art Basel/Miami Beach 2006, The Wolfsonian invited Lawrence Weiner to create a site-specific artwork in response to the museum's extensive collections of art and design from 1885 to 1945, its location, and its place in the community. The installation begins high atop The Wolfsonian facade at Washington Avenue and Tenth Street and continues inside the building, lining the walls of the lobby and culminating at the lobby fountain. Its presentation in both English and Spanish is in recognition of Miami's diverse culture and its large Hispanic community.
