LivSuite is kicking off the summer with Vol. 2 of the Summer Soul Session features Ife’! The Seattle native has been described as, "A young Sade meets Lena Horne for the new millennium, " but, the enthralling singer/songwriter with a sound and style all her own, writes and performs music that fuses R&B and Pop with elements of Jazz and Hip Hop that create melodic gems that are hard to forget. She grew up studying musical theater, and began honing her raw skills singing in various choirs before going on to study voice in college in Washington, D.C. As an undergraduate Ifé began working as back-up singer on the burgeoning music scene that produced artists such as Tank and Raheem DeVaughn.
After years of honing her craft developing her live stage show, style and approach, Ifé is ready to take center stage with the release of her debut EP, "CRESCENDO", which features singles, “Aim to Please” and “FLY” which can be heard in the score of the upcoming independent film, ConSINsual from One Truth Media films, on Sirius XM radio, Voices of America, and a growing list of online outlets. Ife’s sultry stage show is always captivating and sonically engaging. She is one of music’s superstars in the making: one to watch and on the verge.

Chris Turner AKA the “LOVEchild” is a classically trained crooner that deftly combines streams of jazz, hip-hop, funk, and soul in his music; he’s as comfortable with falsetto and scatting as he is with laying down smooth and creative phrasings. Growing up Oakland, CA, Chris Turner knew at the age of four that he wanted to be a singer just like his father.

Chris graduated from the School of the Arts (SOTA) High School in San Francisco and was selected to be the featured vocalist for the SF Jazz High School All-Stars, opening up for jazz greats like Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, and Michael Brecker. He was later selected to the prestigious GRAMMY High School Jazz Ensemble and performed with many GRAMMY artists including Carlos Santana, Kirk Whalum, and Dave Koz.

Chris recently graduated from the New School University for Jazz and Contemporary Music. He tours nationally with Bilal Oliver and has toured with Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Brown, Bow Wow, Soulja Boy, and Sean Kingston. In February 2011, he was selected to perform as an “Artist To Watch” by BET’s Music Matters. Chris
released his first single, “Liquid Love,” produced by the Stuyvesants, in 2010, and is working on his EP, “LOVEchild.”

Our Special Guest Hostess for the night is Lauren White. Some have described her voice as a “Sassy butterfly wing voice. A bell ring with true clarity” and others describe it as “powerful, with amazing control and multiple octave range.”This native Washingtonian is a graduate of Howard University majoring in Music Business, with a concentration in voice. She has written and collaborated with both local and national artists. Her debut solo project titled, Simply Me, will give the listener a peek into all the feelings and emotions that make up this eclectic performer.
Being a lover of all genres, Lauren’s core is R&B with a fusion of Soul, Jazz, Rock, Hip-Hop & Gospel. However, the resounding agreement is that in each performance, Lauren leaves it all on the stage. Her presence is dynamic and commanding, guaranteed to keep the listener engaged, feeling like they are a part of her experience.
