An exhibition celebrating heritage activity in the community
Living Links is a Heritage Lottery funded project which seeks to collect local history with communities across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. It helps communities embrace their changing histories, making connections between the past and the present. This innovative programme supports diverse communities with their heritage activity, and helps to make stronger bridges between record offices and the communities they serve.
The Who do we think we are? exhibition aims to increase awareness and knowledge on the work involved in these areas, as well as introducing everybody to Living Links. The illustrated exhibition celebrates the work of local community groups, highlights archives and their links to the past, and explains the work of the record office.
The exhibition will be on display at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park between Friday 6th November and Sunday 20th December.
The Living Links project is supported by Hampshire Archives Trust, the Museum, Libraries and Archives Council and Hampshire County Council. More than 156 local community group have already been involved together with a network of over 100 volunteers.
