The “Millennium House” on Belvin Street in San Marcos will be the special stop on the Feb. 7 Living History Tour. The Eastlake Style house was built in 1889 and is also known as the John Francis McGehee House. The current homeowner of the historic property will be present to tell about the house and its renovation. Before the special stop, “returning spirits” of General and Mrs. Edward Burleson, two of San Marcos’ founders, will tell other tales of old San Marcos, and show historic sites around town. The tour takes about an hour and a half, and leaves from Tanger Visitors Center at 2 p.m. Call 512-396-3739 for additional information, and to make a reservation.
